WEST LUZON BASIN
 
 AREA: 16,000 sq km, 95% offshore

ESTIMATED TOTAL RESOURCES:
23 million bbl oil equivalent (or 129 cubic feet gas) undiscovered
EXPLORATION HISTORY: Geophysical surveys were carried out between 1975 and 1992. Seismic data indicated thick sedimentary horizons in the northwestern area in Subic Bay and in deeper water depths in offshore West Batangas. No drilling nor oil and/or gas seeps were reported in the basin.
