CCSM Indonesia Case Study Workshop (C1W2) on Public Engagement of CCS Projects

The Case Study Workshop, C1W2, was organised in Surabaya, Indonesia on 4-6 November 2015 in cooperation with the Geological Agency of Indonesia and LEMIGAS, both with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. The CCS-M is financially supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs thru the Royal Norwegian Embassy (RNE) - Jakarta and Global CCS Institute.

The public and society at large are key players in the development and implementation of CO2 capture, use and storage (CCS) technologies, and the planning for public engagement and outreach is critical to the acceptance CCS. In recognition to this, strategies for outreach and public engagement in CCS Projects have been identified as crucial elements of government policies regarding the implementation of CCS Projects.
