Thailand is still recovering from the devastating flood. To give due consideration to this situation and after consultation with all the CCOP Member Countries, we have come to a decision to re-postpone the 48th Annual Session to October/November 2012.    more

CCOP presentation to The Thai Red Cross Society
Throughout the tragic events in flooded Bangkok, The Thai Red Cross Society have made, and continues to make, every effort to extend relief to the many tens of thousands of flood victims. In support of these efforts, on 16 November 2011, a cheque for 150,000 Thai Bahts was presented to the Thailand Red Cross by the Director on behalf of CCOP and its Member Countries.   more

New Date: 48th CCOP Annual Session and 58th Steering Committee Meeting, 12-19 February 2012, Bangkok, Thailand
In consideration of the delegates and participants' travel rearrangements, DMR together with CCOP Technical Secretariat, have come up with the new date of the subject meetings. The 48th CCOP Annual Session and the 58th CCOP Steering Committee Meeting are now rescheduled to 12-17 and 18-19 February 2012 respectively.   more

Due to the ongoing flooding situation in Bangkok, CCOP regrets to inform all its Member Countries, Cooperating Countries, Cooperating Organizations as well as its Honorary Advisers that the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR), Thailand, host of the 48th CCOP Annual Session and 58th Steering Committee Meeting originally scheduled on 13-19 November 2011, decided to postpone these meetings indefinitely.   more

CCOP TS Director visited The Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Bangkok
The CCOP TS Director, Prof Dr He Qincheng, together with the Geo-Environment Sector Coordinator, Mr. Niran Chaimanee and EPPM Project Coordinator, Mr. Simplicio Caluyong, visited The Embassy of Brunei Darussalam on 6 July 2011 to pay a courtesy visit to its ambassador, H.E.Dato’ Kamis Tamin and Ms. Zamiah Haliluddin, Second Secretary. During the visit, they discussed on the previous cooperation between Brunei and CCOP under ASCOPE activities and the intention of invitation to the Government of Brunei Darussalam to consider membership of CCOP.    more

The CCOP TS Director, Prof Dr He Qincheng, together with the Geo-Environment Sector Coordinator, Niran Chaimanee, visited The Department of Geological Survey and Mineral Exploration at Nay Pyi Taw, The Republic of The Union of Myanmar on 28 June 2011 to pay a courtesy visit to its Director General, Dr. Ye Myint Swe. During the visit, they discussed on the possibility of Myanmar to become a member of CCOP, its benefits and advantages, and responsibilities.   more
