<03-1999> The CCOP Petroleum Resource Classification System
The CCOP Petroleum resource classification system is one of the output of the Norwegian-funded Resource Evaluation and Planning Project – Phase 2 (REP-2) participated by nine Member Countries of CCOP.
This system is a supplement to Member Countries with existing national classification systems and at the same time is recommended as template for those countries that have not yet established their own petroleum resource classification system. The system is envisaged to contribute to the common understanding and future standardization of the terms and definitions used in petroleum resource classification in the region. Furthermore, this system will hopefully contribute to improve communications or resources across borders and also be a vital tool for common promotion activities of the region. The CCOP system utilizes internationally recognized terms and definitions.
