Groundwater Assessment and Control in the CCOP Region
(1 February 2005 – 31 March 2009)
This Project aims to evaluate groundwater resources and environments through its monitoring. The results of the Digital Compilation of Geoscientific Maps Phase IV (DCGM-IV) Project on Groundwater Database shall be used in the implementation of the Project.
Under this Project, three sub-projects will be carried out; (1) Groundwater Environment and Management in the Urban Coastal Area, (2) Groundwater and Land Subsidence Monitoring and (3) Groundwater Evaluation Using Monitoring System. Each sub-project will be carried out by a group of the CCOP Member Countries with expected results, and be headed by Japan, China and Korea respectively, as outlined below:
